Matthew5sixteen:
What I see: A disheartening world where the value of each human being is quietly measured in terms of money. A harsh world where daily life is weighed in misery instead of joy.
What I wonder: What can be done?
What I know: It is said, “The poor you will always have with you.” But it is also said, “Show mercy and compassion to one another.”
What I believe: While the problems we face may seem intractable, we still must try to help one another. When I fail, I will try again. Success is not defined as the end of poverty. Success is defined as the end of insensitivity and indifference towards those affected by it.
Who I am: A lowly, non-traditional college student who sees too much suffering in the world to not do something positive about it.
